This great fabric meets the Global recycled standard. Using 100% recycled fibres it is made up of 87% cotton from recycling existing fabric/garments and cutting it back to cotton fibres and 13% polyester where the fibre is created from melting down plastic bottles to make the yarn.
Per Metre this fabric recycles 4 plastic bottles into polyester fibres and saves a significant amount of water and energy by using reworked fibres. HOW COOL?
Anyway, I’ve patched it up and made it into a cool, waterproof lined wash bag and have even made some matching double sided reusable facial pads!
